Over the last twenty years or so I have bought, used, tried, sold & kept a large number of telescopes and accessories.
I’m a bit of an early adopter and enjoy seeing what technology can do for us.
I havent got into astrophotography, but like to think I am a pretty good visual observer. I like nothing better than trying for the most challenging objects.
As a scientist and engineer, building scopes and accessories gives me a lot of satisfaction.
My 18” is a continuing story of build and re-build. The mirror set is superb and I am continually striving to make a portable mount that does it justice. This story is told here.
